The one who raised me
has left this world.
Her essence
Still lingers.
She is deeply rooted in me.
My guardian.
My mother.
Her branches still catch
My falls.
The years I knew everything,
She was patient.
The months I was jobless,
She paid.
The weeks I was lonley,
She listened.
The days I cried,
She comforted.
The times I was empty,
She nurtured.
My remaining years I will miss her.
I seek eternal peace for her soul.
Read Universal Wisdom: The people that have loved and nurtured us are deeply missed when they are not arround. We don’t always realize their effect on our life while they are here. Life is a never ending departing and arriving. We can not hold on to people but we can cherish their love and what they brought to us and the memories.
Reflection Questions: What is the greatest gift from those that impacted your life most profoundly as a child?
